In addition, ginger root has a positive effect on two hormones - norepinephrine and dopamine - that trigger the satiety part of the nervous system.

To stimulate digestion, you should drink tea made from ginger, lemon and honey after meals. This will help normalize digestion.

Keep in mind, however, that drinking ginger tea is only useful as a supplement to your main diet and exercise. To lose weight, you must daily reduce the amount of fatty foods, eat more foods containing fiber and protein, and do not forget about active walks or fitness.

Homemade Ginger Slimming Tea Recipes

Classic recipe

To make ginger tea, you need 200-220 ml of water, 30 g of ginger pieces, ½ lemon juice and 20 g of honey.

  1. The container in which the drink will be prepared must be heated. You can dip it in hot water for a few minutes. You cannot use aluminum or metal dishes: in Asia, they believe that it kills all the healing properties of ginger.
  2. Boil water in a container and add ginger root while boiling. Cook for 17-20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, lid on top of the pan and leave for 8-12 minutes.
  4. Pour the liquid into a cup, cool slightly and drip lemon juice, add honey.
  5. They start drinking tea from 2 cups a day, after dinner and lunch, for 15 days. Then they take a break for 7 days and can be repeated.

Ancient Chinese recipe for a liter of water


  • 3 tbsp. l. grated ginger;
  • 1000 ml of water;
  • 3, 5 Art. l. lemon juice;
  • 3 mint leaves;
  • 5 tablespoons of honey;
  • one third teaspoon of black pepper (ground)

Put the water on the fire, after boiling, reduce the heat and add all the ingredients except honey and lemon. The drink should be boiled for 15-17 minutes. After that, remove it from the stove, let it cool slightly and add lemon and honey.

Slimming Ginger Cinnamon Tea

The recipe is for 600 ml of water.


  • cinnamon sticks - 2 pcs.;
  • 600 ml of water;
  • a piece of ginger 3 cm long;
  • a teaspoon of ground cinnamon;
  • black tea - 1 tsp;
  • 2 lemon wedges;
  • mint leaf.

Preparation: Put the cinnamon pieces in boiling water and cook for 13-16 minutes. Add thin slices of ginger and boil all together for another 10-12 minutes. Remove liquid from stove, add black tea and mint.

Ground cinnamon and lemon are added last.

"Immunity" drink

Ingredients for 1000 ml of water.

Prepare food:

  • grated ginger - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • grated lemon zest - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • green tea - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • dried apples - 8 slices;
  • cinnamon stick;
  • 1 PC. carnations;
  • 1 tsp honey;
  • 50 ml orange juice.

Pour ginger, zest, apples and spices into boiling water, reduce heat and cook for 5-6 minutes. Remove and add the rest of the ingredients. Cover the dish with a lid and leave for 6-8 minutes. Strain the drink and pour into cups. If the drink remains, it can be diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio, boiled for 4-7 minutes and drunk.

Tea with ginger and spices

Recipe for 1000 ml of water.


  • 85 g ginger, chopped into slices;
  • 8 pcs. cardamom;
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon;
  • green tea - 3 tsp;
  • cloves - 4 pcs.;
  • half a lemon;
  • honey - 1 tbsp. l.

Brew green tea with 1 liter of water and let stand for 5-6 minutes. Fold the ginger root and spices into a container and brew with tea. Transfer to fire and simmer for 22-23 minutes. Add the zest of half a lemon to the drink, after squeezing the juice into a separate cup. Remove the liquid from the heat, add a spoonful of green tea. Insist 8 minutes. Strain the resulting drink and put honey in it and pour in lemon juice.

Reduce appetite

Products for 500 ml of water.


  • 1, 5 tsp grated ginger root;
  • 1 bag of green tea;
  • 100 ml cream;
  • honey - 1, 5 tbsp. l.

Boil water separately and heat the cream. Add ginger and tea bag to the boiled liquid. Let stand for 6-8 minutes. Combine cream and drink in a ceramic bowl. Drink tea sweetened with honey.

Fat burning tea with ginger and currant

Recipe for 1000 ml of water.


  • 3 tsp black tea;
  • 2 tbsp. l. currant leaves;
  • 32 g ginger.

Pour boiling water over the tea. Pour the resulting drink into a thermos, adding chopped ginger root and currant leaves. Close the thermos and leave for 15 minutes.

Cold ginger tea

The recipe is based on 2 liters of water.


  • 1 tbsp. l. grated ginger;
  • 1 tsp leafy green tea;
  • 3 leaves of lemon balm;
  • 4 mint leaves;
  • slice of lemon;
  • 1 tsp honey.

Put mint and lemon balm in a two-liter jar. Pour grated ginger into a saucepan, add 2 liters of water and boil. Add tea, let stand for 5 minutes, strain and pour into the previously prepared jar. Allow to cool and refrigerate for 40-50 minutes. Honey is added as desired.


The specified ingredients are applied to 1200 ml of milk.


  • a teaspoon of ground turmeric;
  • 20 g butter;
  • 1 tsp grated ginger root.

Soften the butter and mix with ginger and turmeric. Heat the milk. Put 1/2 tsp in a cup. oil mixture and pour warm milk. This drink is effective during sore throats and cold season.

Contraindications to drinking ginger drinks

You should not use ginger tea for the following health problems:

  • individual intolerance and allergies;
  • stomach and intestinal problems;
  • thinning blood;
  • ulcers;
  • problems with the esophagus;
  • at elevated temperatures;
  • malfunctioning of the liver;
  • haemorrhoids;
  • stroke and heart disease;
  • bleeding;
  • excitability;
  • insomnia;
  • toxicosis;
  • high blood pressure.

It is contraindicated for both pregnant and lactating mothers. Ginger root increases blood pressure - this is dangerous in the last months before the birth of a baby.
