You have to spend most of the time at work, so it must suit you in all respects, from the level of wages to the atmosphere in the team. The words that work should be enjoyable is not an empty triviality, but perhaps the main criterion for the "correctness" of life. How to understand that it's time not just to go on vacation, but to write a statement of your own free will?

There are thousands of professions in the world, but they all involve communication with people. Some have to contact dozens and hundreds of people whom they may have to see once in their lives (sellers, hairdressers, doctors), others see the same people every day (educators, educators, personal trainers), others even sit in the office and do not communicate with anyone other than colleagues.

So the classic sign of critical professional burnout is irritability, dislike, aggressiveness, and even hatred towards those who try to talk to you. Even performing a direct duty, for example, consulting visitors to the passport office, calling customers in the sales department, causes unpleasant sensations: the employee wants to get rid of communication as soon as possible and even breaks down on colleagues or those who asked for help.

Sometimes irritability is associated with fatigue, and after the vacation a person does not feel any discomfort and anger, the questions of people do not seem stupid to him and he is quite benevolent. But if after weekends, long holidays and vacations, the employee is still enraged by people, it is worth thinking about changing not only the place of work, but also the field of activity.

2. You count the days until the weekend and hours until the end of the working day

When work is fun, time flies by. From the very morning you want to have a leisurely cup of coffee, start your duties, go to lunch, continue to work and go home in the evening. A person who must certainly change jobs starts counting from morning tea on how many hours the working day will end.

He constantly glances at the clock, which seems to have stopped because time hardly moves. I don't want to do anything, sometimes it doesn't work out, and thoughts about how to spend the evening already arise in my head.

On Wednesday, a happy thought arises: more than half a week has passed! Remained Thursday, Friday - almost a weekend, and there - two days of rest. It turns out that a person lives from Saturday to Saturday, experiencing sadness, dissatisfaction and apathy on weekdays.

3. You are doing "mediocre" work

A person who does not get pleasure from work, tries to do everything right, so as not to redo it later, and quickly, so as to quickly do things that are more to his liking. As a result, the result of the work is really average: neither creativity, nor creativity, nor efforts are invested in tasks.

You are not interested in being praised by your superiors, because otherwise you may be singled out and overwhelmed with work. Your job is to do what is required of you in order to receive your salary or fulfill the plan, but duties over the norm are not about you.

4. You don't see career prospects

When applying for a job, a person roughly imagines what awaits him in the future. A secretary will not always be a secretary, an assistant manager is only an assistant, and a sales assistant is a consultant. Usually they look closely at a new employee, evaluate his work, and soon either offer a more solid position, or vacate the existing one.

There are also such vacancies for which it is enough just to work well, and career growth is not provided. Then the employee himself is interested in coming up with something new, creative, so that monotonous projects do not cause boredom. But there are very few such vacancies!

In other cases, the employee wants to rather take a different position: a journalist wants to become an editor-in-chief, a salesman - a manager, a manager - a head of a department. If, besides the desire to receive your salary and sit in a corner, there is nothing, it's time to go to the labor exchange.

5. You work for the same salary for a long time

It is clear that the graduate of the institute does not yet have experience, but it is necessary to start with something, so he even agrees to the salary that simply allows him to pay for an apartment, buy food and sometimes new clothes. Most of the "fresh" employees understand that for some time they will have to work for 10-15 thousand, but in the future the salary will increase.

If the salary remains at the same level for 1-2 years, this is not a big deal. In some companies, the salary remains the same for 5 years. But, as a rule, employees are interested in showing their best side, standing out among colleagues and getting the long-awaited salary increase.

A twofold situation may arise here. On the one hand, a person works in an organization in which the bosses are trying to save on wages and under no circumstances raise the salary. The management can say in plain text that it is able to find a replacement for the employee and will not pay more.

On the other hand, the manager may be loyal to the employees and, seeing the efforts, will gladly increase the salary. But the employee himself does not make any effort to get decent money. He sees that his colleagues have long come to a greater income, but he himself continues to receive as much as he received several years ago.

In both situations, there is only one way out - to change jobs.

6. You try to avoid any extra-business meetings

Directors and managers in many organizations are committed to improving team relationships and improving employee skills. For this reason, various offsite events are held: corporate meetings, trainings, quests, picnics, informal trips to cafes. These meetings bring employees of the same company very close, and therefore people are happy to work better.

If you try to avoid such parties and seminars, come up with excuses (a relative is sick, you already have plans for this weekend), obviously you do not care about relationships with colleagues and the effectiveness of the entire company as a whole. Of course, do not forget about introverts, who, in principle, do not like to get close to people and be in public places, but such people are few.

An employee who has prepared a text in advance with an answer to the question why he cannot spend the evening with his colleagues this time subconsciously does not want to work in this place and with these people.

7. You are often distracted during your work day

One of the indicators of love for work and the fear of losing it is responsibility. Usually, an employee knows what he should do at one time or another: when he should do the documentation, when to call business partners or customers, when to attend a business meeting.

If an employee tries to do everything in order not to do what he should, it means that there is no interest in the fruits of his labor. Office workers can put off important reports and documents "for the evening", devoting most of their time to computer solitaire and watching videos on YouTube. Bank employees and cashiers in supermarkets are increasingly taking lunch breaks, smoke breaks, so as not to engage in direct duties.

The desire to postpone everything until the last moment is a sign that it is time to change jobs.

8. At the end of the day, you feel very tired, which is not enjoyable

It is generally accepted that leg work is physically exhausting, and sedentary work is morally exhausting. To some extent, this is true, but those who have to spend all day on the run get mentally tired, and office workers feel physically tired.

When work is fun, fatigue is rewarding. A person comes home in the evening and realizes that it has turned out to be a productive day, after which you can take a bath, relax and feel relief. Some are happy to run after work to the cinema, theater, gym, or just for a walk.

But sometimes it happens that fatigue is annoying. Pain in the legs, back and neck, discomfort in the eyes, puffiness, tension, feeling of a "heavy head" do not bring joy, and you only want one thing - to crawl to the sofa. Sleep at night does not restore strength, and there is no time, energy or desire left for housework, not to mention entertainment and hobbies.

Such unhealthy fatigue is direct evidence that work sucks all strength, and it's time to think about looking for another job.

9. You come up with excuses not to go to work or go home earlier

Some people are very lucky with work and management: the boss is always sympathetic to a request to leave early, if you need, for example, to meet relatives at the station, or to a complaint about a high temperature. Understanding managers are ready to meet the subordinate halfway, as long as the employee has a positive working attitude. After all, a person who is not feeling well is unlikely to be able to cope with their responsibilities.

If the work is in the throat, the person begins to enjoy the trust of higher-ranking employees. He increasingly comes up with why he cannot go to work, and is even ready to take time off at his own expense, just not to go to the hated organization. Sooner or later, someone will get tired of this, and the employee will understand that it is time to write a letter of resignation of his own free will.

The main thing is not to tolerate endless hatred of your own work, and find something to your liking in time.
