Causes of blurry vision

The causes of blurred vision can be both diseases and non-observance of the rules of rest.

Diseases and their brief characteristics:

  • Cataract is a progressive disease in which the cause of decreased vision is the clouding of the lens. Ultimately, there is a deterioration in the discrimination of even light and darkness;
  • Astigmatism. When the eye has an imperfect spherical shape, the refraction of light occurs unevenly, this leads to a fuzzy perception of objects, mistakenly disguised as myopia or farsightedness;
  • Arterial hypertension one of its manifestations has the appearance of "flies" before the eyes, blurred vision;
  • Glaucoma. In addition to blurry vision of surrounding objects, it provokes a slow or sharp narrowing of the visual fields. Eventually, a small gap remains visible to the eye, but a complete loss of vision may occur;
  • Diabetic retinopathy. Diabetes mellitus provokes retinal damage, causing clinical manifestations such as fog or a veil in front of the eyes, dark spots, vague floating opacities. The very high risk of complications in this endocrine disease requires constant observation by an ophthalmologist;
  • Macular degeneration is a failure and rupture of the retina in its center. They usually get sick in old age. The symptom is a sudden decrease in vision up to blindness;
  • Night blindness is a disease provoked by a number of reasons, the main of which is the lack of vitamins A, B2 and PP.

Other reasons:

  • Side effects of certain drugs;
  • Constant visual stress, for example, work related to typing on a computer, long-term work with books. Lack of rest or the allocation of a small amount of time for it;
  • Improper wearing of contact lenses: Each package contains instructions for use. Check if you are using your lenses correctly, if you take them off at night or during daytime sleep;
  • Frequent stress affects all organs and systems of the body, eyes are no exception. Try not to worry on minor occasions to prevent unpleasant symptoms;

The main direction of therapy is to establish the cause and eliminate it. This can be laser correction, choosing the right glasses / lenses or eye exercises - depending on what kind of disease you have and what kind of treatment you need.

In summer, you can pick up berries and freeze them for long cold months, so that on dark winter evenings you can drink delicious hot tea with berries with your family.

Vitamins of group A, B, PP, C strengthen eyesight and relieve fatigue. They have an antioxidant effect and get rid of free radicals in the tissues of the eyes.

A well-chosen diet is sometimes akin to treatment: eat fresh carrots as often as possible, they contain a sufficient amount of vitamin A and maintain the balance of trace elements.

The net shell contains a lot of zinc. You can restore the previous vigilance of the eyes with the help of sweet bell peppers, beet juice and pumpkin seed oil, because they contain a huge amount of this trace element.

You are lucky if you love fish in any form, because it contains a lot of vitamin D, it removes the signs of blurred vision and returns the world to its former brilliance.

Apricot juice helps to restore vision, drink it in half a glass 2-3 times a day.

Exercises for the eyes

Gymnastics for the eyes:

  1. Sit in a comfortable position to avoid distractions. Close your eyes. Relax;
  2. Slowly move your gaze from the left side to the right, without changing the position of the head. Only closed eyes work;
  3. Do the same from the right side to the left. Repeat 5 times. Monitor your well-being, do not make sudden movements with your eyes, if you experience discomfort, it is better to refuse to exercise or reduce the approach to 2-3 times;
  4. Look through your closed eyelids to the upper left corner, carefully move your gaze to the lower right. Repeat the exercise in a mirror version - upper right, then lower left. Do not overdo it, watch yourself and your capabilities;
  5. If you don't feel tired, you can mentally imagine a square or rectangle and walk your eyes along its perimeter. Repeat the same, but in the opposite direction;
  6. A look in a circle. The essence is the same as with a square. Do the exercise clockwise and vice versa;
  7. We need to smoothly complete our gymnastics, for this, close your eyes tightly several times, relaxing your eyes after that. Made? Good. You can open your eyes by blinking easily and frequently. Such movements resemble the flight of a butterfly - such a "flutter" of the eyes will improve their blood supply and return strength for further work.

Monitor your vision, do not expect blurry symptoms to go away on their own. It is better to once again worry about your health by contacting a doctor or starting to take vitamins on your own, rather than to eliminate, perhaps, serious causes of the disease for weeks or months.
