They adhere to such a diet for quite a long time, and many patients are doomed to such nutrition for life.

Principles of nutrition for acute pancreatitis:

  • You should eat five to six times a day and try to do it at the same time. Throughout the day, meals should include three full meals (morning, lunch and evening) and two additional (lunch and afternoon tea). In addition, at night you should drink a glass of low-fat kefir;
  • Dishes should be low in calories and small in portions. Do not overeat at all;
  • Stick to the optimal temperature of the dishes (forty to fifty degrees). The food taken should be neither cold nor hot;
  • You need to eat grated food. Foods with coarse fiber should be excluded.

How to properly apply the diet for acute pancreatitis:

  • In the first few days, medication is administered and fasting is recommended. Only drinks at room temperature are allowed. You can drink mineral water, having previously released gas, rosehip broth from it. The volume of liquid should not exceed one liter per day;
  • The next stage is from the fourth to the sixth day. The diet allows you to drink sugar-free tea with a few croutons. You can eat slimy pureed soups without salt, boiled porridge and rubbed through a sieve in milk in half with water from rice or buckwheat;
  • From the seventh day, with the stabilization of the patient's condition, nutritionists recommend eating low-fat and non-sour cottage cheese, a couple of pieces of stale white bread. The diet allows you to enter mashed vegetable soups with the addition of a small piece of oil (no more than fifteen grams per day), vegetable purees;
  • From the eighth day, it is allowed to add lean meat and low-fat varieties of fish in the form of steam soufflés to the daily diet, and from the ninth, tenth day - steam meatballs. Remember that mashed, chopped food, which in consistency resembles a liquid or semi-liquid steamed puree, is prescribed for at least two months;
  • If there is no deterioration during these months, the scope of the diet is slightly expanded. Gradually, non-acidic fruits are introduced, you can eat baked vegetables and fish, meat cutlets. If at first it was recommended not to eat more than one hundred grams of food at a time, now the portions are increasing. With the inclusion of liquid, the one-time volume grows to five hundred grams. But, as before, the break between meals should not exceed four hours.

What products are not included in the diet for acute pancreatitis?

First of all, these are foods that stimulate the work of the digestive glands:

  • These are strong meat, fish and vegetable broths;
  • Spicy, smoked dishes, marinades, pickles should be excluded:
  • In no case should you eat vegetables such as radishes, garlic, raw onions, horseradish;
  • Sour berries and fruits, as well as juices from them, are subject to exclusion from the diet;
  • We'll have to forget about chocolate, coffee, ice cream;
  • Baking, alcohol and carbonated drinks will not bring you health;
  • With some caution, you should treat spicy herbs and legumes.

New foods should be added to your diet very carefully and gradually, so as not to provoke a new exacerbation. The prescribed diet is suitable for all ages, both young people and older people.

  • Improve the condition of the body after forced fasting;
  • Restore the lack of nutrients, vitamins and minerals;

A diet is just a list of permitted foods. And nutrition in this case assumes a certain mode, methods of preparing various dishes. Cooking methods should be as gentle as possible. Dishes are steamed or boiled, followed by grinding with a blender or wiping through a sieve.

The diet should consist of foods that are sufficiently healthy and necessary for the body.

It can be:

  • Vegetables. They are mainly steamed, but you can also stew, occasionally boiled;
  • Cooked in a double boiler or boiled, lean meats, fish or poultry (without skin);
  • Porridge cooked in milk, half diluted with water. You cannot cook from millet groats;
  • Vegetable soups, except for white cabbage, onions and garlic;
  • Steamed omelet, non-sour cottage cheese casserole;
  • Dairy products are not sour;
  • Baked and pureed sweet apples;
  • Compote, jelly and unsweetened tea.

Permitted fats are not heat-treated.

Approximate menu for a week with acute pancreatitis

The menu for acute pancreatitis can be very diverse. The main thing is to remember when drawing it up that you need to drink at least one and a half liters of water per day, and the amount eaten for all meals, according to the diet, during the day should not exceed three kilograms.
