If modern women dye with natural remedies because they think about the health of their hair, then before there was no alternative to such dyes. But this does not mean at all that the palette of shades was not wide enough - walnuts, onion peels, pharmacy chamomile, coffee, tea, berry juices, cocoa … All these ingredients give unusual shades.

When dyeing cocoa hair, the bulbs are enriched with useful elements, the core is strengthened, the structure is restored, and growth is stimulated. The hair at the same time improves the appearance and changes color.

Of course, applying cocoa to the hair, it is impossible to get the same color. With natural dyes, a persistent, dense shade is not achievable, they only shade.

Healing strands

Applying cocoa hair masks simultaneously dyes the hair, so fair-haired women should not use this method.

The most effective means through which the hair gets folic acid, vitamins A and E, polymineral substances in the complex - zinc, phosphorus, iron, calcium and is fed with saturated fatty acids - cocoa butter. Unlike other vegetable oils, cocoa butter is thick and must be melted before use. This is done with the help of a water bath - in no case should it be melted over an open fire - this is how ordinary ghee will turn out, which does not have an antioxidant effect.

The oil mask nourishes and revitalizes. It is applied with insulation, kept for about an hour, washed off with shampoo, rinsed with chamomile infusion or acidified water. The color of the curls after the oil mask does not change.

The following mask, based on a natural product, is applied only to the roots.

Ingredients:

  • cocoa butter - 3 tablespoons;
  • honey - 1 tablespoon;
  • cognac - 1 teaspoon.

Melt the butter in a water bath, add honey, stir well and add brandy there. Before rubbing into the scalp, they are heated above body temperature - also in a water bath. Massage effects are carried out for 5-7 minutes.

The next recipe. The tandem kefir-cocoa gives shine, provides the hair with a well-groomed look, moisturizes and saturates with vitamins. The amount of ingredients depends on the thickness and length of the hair.

Cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon, diluted with an equal volume of water, mixed with crushed chicken yolk, and poured with heated kefir - half a glass. This mixture does not color - kefir neutralizes the coloring properties.

The following remedy will help to stop hair loss:

  • in equal volumes combine oils - burdock and cocoa;
  • quickly rub into the hair roots and distribute along the length - until the mixture has cooled down and thickened;
  • insulate;
  • leave for an hour.

It is quite difficult to wash off the mask. To get rid of it quickly, you can add egg yolk to the mixture. But you still can't do without shampoo.

For oily hair, such a remedy is not recommended - the strands may fade, the nutritional properties of the ingredients are too high. If the fragility of the curls is increased, despite the increased secretion of sebaceous secretion, then other vegetable oils are introduced into the mask - coconut or almond.

A tablespoon of cocoa powder is stirred with 2 tablespoons of any of the aforementioned oils, heated - the temperature should be 1-3 degrees higher than body temperature - in a water bath, 1-2 egg yolks are driven in. Apply to the entire head of hair - from roots to ends.

All masks are kept for at least an hour under insulation. After removing the nutrients, it is advisable to rinse your head with water with natural apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, herbal infusions - linden, mint, sage, chamomile. With strands prone to dryness, rinsing with chamomile infusion should not be carried away.

It is best to treat hair in courses - 10 procedures, 2 times a week. Visually, the effect will be noticeable after 2-3 procedures.

Natural dye

Cocoa hair color changes because this natural product contains a high amount of coloring pigment. The dye particles invade deep into the hair shaft and partially replace melanin, filling the voids.

Homemade hair dye for regular hair may not give cocoa color, but a soft chocolate tone is provided. In addition, those who use this method to give a new shade to their hair will receive an additional bonus - the nourishing and strengthening properties inherent in masks are preserved.

The easiest way to change the tone is to mix shampoo that is constantly used with cocoa powder, warm it up a little, apply the foamy mass to the curls, hold for 5-7 minutes and rinse off as usual.

Despite the fact that the coloration of cocoa does not differ from the action of other natural remedies - that is, the longer you hold it, the brighter the color - when mixing the powder with shampoo, the effect should be limited in time. Most adult detergents contain sulfates that attack the strands. A natural product cannot neutralize the negative effect of chemicals.

It is possible to keep homemade dye on your hair longer only if the main component of the shampoo is soap nut - such detergents are natural.

If you use shampoo with cocoa powder constantly, then within a month you can get a pleasant chocolate color. Since the drying effect does not occur, you can maintain the tone for as long as you want - you can use the coloring agent for an unlimited amount of time.

A richer shade will turn out if cocoa powder is mixed with hair balm - it is better to choose a nutrient that does not need to be washed off. The ingredients are mixed in an equal volume, applied to the hair in the same way as paint - that is, in separate strands. Keep under insulation should be 40-50 minutes.

Wash off with warm water without shampoo.

Paint with balm acts faster, a significant change in shade can be seen after the first procedure.

Nowadays, professional hairdressers have created a special technique of coloring with cocoa powder - to give the finishing touch to the appearance of the models. The color of iced chocolate is considered one of the most popular. This painting method is called balayazh. It appeared because chemical dyes do not allow you to quickly convey the play of color and dyes in full - they need to be consistently applied to the hair, to measure the area of an already dyed head of hair with an unpainted one.

Models have to spend a long time in the hairdresser's chair, and then restore the curls weakened by the simultaneous influence of many chemical components.

After the usual application of ammonia paints, professional masters advise giving the hair to recover, rest, nourish it with masks for two weeks. You can imagine what happens to the structure of the hair when different compositions are applied several times along the length at the same time!

Cocoa powder allows you to achieve a similar play of color without deteriorating the condition of the hair.

Baby shampoo is thoroughly mixed with cocoa powder in a ratio of 1/1 and let it brew for a day. Then it is applied to the hair, like paint, and kept for 30 minutes. The ends of the strands are covered with a thicker layer, adding additional cocoa powder, and wrapped in foil. After removing the dye composition, the hair has a natural look, the dyed and non-dyed areas shine under the light of chocolate and gold.

To give the curls a persistent chocolate shade, cocoa powder is added to henna.

The amount of natural product depends on the desired tone. To soften the copper shade, it is enough to add 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder at the swelling stage to a standard sachet.

It is advisable to inject cocoa powder into henna when dyed to match the tea tree - it will add depth and expressiveness to the shade. In other cases, the presence of an additional ingredient is hardly noticeable - the color of chocolate and chestnut can merge. But cocoa powder fully neutralizes the drying effect of henna on the hair.
