Chicken eggs are an absolutely indispensable product in the kitchen of every housewife. We use eggs as an independent dish in the form of scrambled eggs or omelet, we use them as a binding ingredient in a number of flour, meat and other dishes.

At the same time, the product has really useful properties and excellent digestibility.

However, in addition to gastronomic use, eggs have found their niche in home cosmetology.

A hair mask based on egg whites or yolks can be an excellent tool for strengthening the hair structure and just a miraculous elixir against hair loss. Due to the abundance of vitamins and valuable microelements in the product, egg masks have gained extraordinary popularity among other folk recipes.

What are the benefits of egg masks?

All components of the egg have certain properties that can be successfully used in home treatment and hair strengthening.

You can find valuable qualities literally in every piece of an egg:

  • egg yolk contains an unprecedented amount of vitamins E, D, A, as well as group B. In addition, this element is saturated with fatty acids. The combination of all components helps to moisturize the hair structure, nourish and eliminate dryness. The yolk perfectly nourishes the scalp and stimulates blood circulation, due to which hair falls out much less;
  • egg white, in addition to the same vitamins that are in the yolk, contains proteins and amino acids, which are extremely important in the metabolic processes of our body. Thanks to the protein, the hair is able to restore its structure;
  • Eggshell, although at first glance does not seem to be a good option for making home remedies, has a large amount of calcium in its arsenal, which is perfectly absorbed by the body, and also perfectly strengthens the hair cuticles.

Simply put, with the help of egg products, you can cope with almost any problem related to strands or scalp. And if we talk about the availability of the product, then here its advantages against the background of all other effective remedies against loss are simply obvious, because everyone has at least a couple of chicken eggs in the refrigerator.

Homemade egg mask recipes for hair loss

The loss of a certain number of hairs is a natural and logical process. It would be strange if our hair did not fall out at all, because how, in this way, do new hairs form? It is believed that the daily rate of loss of hair follicles is between 50 and 100. And this is only if the hair fell out along with the bulb.

The process, as a rule, intensifies in the spring and autumn. In other words, before you sound the alarm, take the trouble to calculate whether your loss is the norm. And if the number of hair loss exceeds the indicated limits, and you can confidently note the thinning of the hairline, it's time to get down to business and treat hair loss with homemade masks with an egg.

Egg mask with vodka has excellent warming properties that affect the nutrition of the follicles. To prepare it, take two homemade eggs, beat well and mix with 2 tablespoons of vodka. Thoroughly wrap your head with polyethylene and a warm scarf, then hold the mask for 30-40 minutes. After shampooing, it is also a good idea to rinse your hair with chamomile or nettle tea.

The recipe for a mask with honey and eggs will delight you with a wide range of effects. In addition, the mask is very easy to prepare, because there are such essential products in almost every home. Take two yolks and 2 tablespoons of honey. The mask can be kept from 40 minutes to 2-3 hours, after which it is washed off with a mild shampoo. Often a couple of spoons of cognac is added to the recipe, which has an additional stimulating effect. But in this case, keep the product for no longer than 40 minutes.

A mask with an egg and burdock oil is also extremely effective against hair loss. To create it, we need 2 egg yolks and a tablespoon of honey and burdock oil. Having thoroughly mixed all the components, distribute the remedy from the roots and along the entire length of the hair, and then wrap it up. Usually the mixture is kept for 30-40 minutes, after which it is washed off under running water. The recipe is great for dry and normal hair. There is also a similar option with castor oil.

A mask with an egg and gelatin is perfect for strengthening hair. Mix a spoonful of gelatin with one egg, and then leave to infuse until the gelatin swells. Next, rub the mixture into the scalp, wrap with a towel and wait 20-30 minutes. Applying this product at least once a week will noticeably strengthen the hair follicles.

An egg mask with colorless henna also helps to cope with hair loss. To do this, you will need one bag of pharmacy henna and one chicken egg. Apply the composition along the entire length of the curls, paying special attention to the roots. After 15-20 minutes of exposure to the product, rinse your hair thoroughly. The mask is universal, however, if with normal hair type we add a whole egg, then in the case of dry curls, it is preferable to mix in only the yolk, and with fatty ones - only protein.

Try to prepare as much mask as you need for one use, because it is undesirable to store the mixture, and an excess of the product can stain your neck and clothes. Any of these masks should be applied to unwashed and dry hair, that is, before the intended moment of shampooing.
