The first thing we pay attention to when looking at a person is his face, or rather his eyes. Dark spots, circles, visible blood vessels around the eyes not only look ugly, but also make a person look older. This problem is especially relevant for the fair sex.
Causes of dark circles around the eyes
The skin under the eyes and on the eyelids is very delicate and thin, has almost no subcutaneous fat, therefore, under the influence of various negative factors, blood vessels can appear under it, and the area under the lower eyelids acquires an ugly bluish tint.
The reasons for this phenomenon may be:
- lack of sleep and rest, excessive physical and emotional stress;
- bad habits - smoking, alcohol abuse;
- wrong lifestyle;
- abuse of cosmetics or the use of low-quality cosmetics;
- diseases of the heart system;
- inappropriate nutrition, insufficient intake of water into the body;
- lack of iron in the body, low levels of hemoglobin in the blood;
- oxygen starvation, lack of fresh air;
- lack of physical activity, sedentary work;
- avitaminosis;
- anatomical features - too thin and light skin and large, visible capillaries.
The skin under the eyes is thin: what to do?
If the problem is related to heredity, that is, the light, thin, almost transparent skin around your eyes came from nature, there is no way to strengthen it. The only option in this case would be the competent use of decorative cosmetics - foundation and powder - which will help hide this flaw and mask the bruises.
It is possible to get rid of bruises under the eyes that have appeared due to any disease or vitamin deficiency only by eliminating the very cause of the ailment.
And to make dark circles under the eyes less noticeable, you can use various folk cosmetics, which are easy to prepare at home.
Masks
Homemade masks, which can be prepared from ordinary products, help to remove bruises and dark spots around the eyes.
Here are some effective recipes:
From potatoes
Potato juice has astringent and brightening properties, soothes the skin and relieves puffiness.
Grate raw, peeled potatoes on a fine plastic grater. It is important that the fruit is not green, lethargic or damaged in any way. It is better not to use old potatoes.
Divide the mixture in two, place each in pieces of clean medical gauze, squeeze lightly and place them over your eyes.
Lie on the bed without a pillow, and place a towel under your head to let the potato juice drip onto it.
Soak in this way for about 12-17 minutes, and then wash off with cool water.
Sour cream and parsley
Parsley remarkably whitens, brightens the dermis, and sour cream nourishes, moisturizes and gives elasticity.
Mix a few tablespoons of natural fresh sour cream with finely chopped parsley. It is very important to grind the herbs well or grind them in a blender or coffee grinder. Choose a greasy, thick sour cream so that it does not spread over the face and does not get into the eyes. It is advisable to use a homemade product, not a commercial product - it contains more nutrients.
The greens should be fresh, bright green, preferably fresh from the garden.
Apply the gruel to the skin around the eyes and wait 17-18 minutes. Now rinse your face first with warm water and then with cool water.
After the procedure, apply a moisturizing eye cream to the skin around the eyes.
Cucumber
Cucumber juice is famous for its whitening and tonic properties. After each procedure, the skin becomes lighter, softer and more elastic.
Peeled fresh cucumber (if the fruit has just been plucked from the garden, you do not need to peel it) grate on a fine plastic grater, squeeze lightly and place on the skin around the eyes in a thick layer. You can, like the potato mass, put the grated cucumber in cheesecloth.
The duration of the procedure is 27-28 minutes. Afterwards, you do not need to wash your face, since cucumber juice can also be used as a tonic.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal contains B vitamins and trace elements, which are essential for the health and beauty of our skin. The finished product also has an astringent effect and tightens the “bags” under the eyes.
Boil a glass of oatmeal with boiling water, cover and wait for it to cool.
There is no need to add sugar, salt, oil or other ingredients.
Spread an even layer of warm porridge under your eyes and leave for 12-13 minutes, then just rinse everything off with cool water. Pat dry with a soft towel and use eye cream.
These masks can be done daily, in the morning and before bed. It is not worth overusing and carrying out more procedures, as they can lead to oxygen starvation of the skin.
Rubbing with ice can also help cope with the problem of circles under the eyes. For these purposes, you can use ordinary purified and frozen water, thawed, mineral, and herbal decoctions. Pour a tablespoon of dry chamomile or mint with a glass of boiling water, cover the container with a lid and leave to cool. Then strain, pour into molds and freeze.
Wipe the skin around the eyes twice a day - in the morning before applying cosmetics and in the evening after removing. But do not keep the ice cube on delicate skin for too long - this can lead to frostbite and destruction of capillaries.
Prophylaxis
To prevent unpleasant and dark circles from appearing, get enough sleep, move more, and be outdoors more often. Drink at least one and a half liters of clean, still water a day. Give up smoking, do not abuse alcohol, eat well.
Well, if the problem bothers you constantly, contact the clinic for help.
