The appearance of acne on the head is extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable for a person. This has its own reason. Most rashes serve as a signal that something is wrong in the body.

Most often, the male half of the population suffers from ulcers on the scalp, possibly because they often get rid of their hair by shaving. But what does the manifestation of pimples on the head mean?

Causes of abscesses on the head

Acne gives a lot of inconvenience to owners of long curls, because in an inflamed state, the rashes are very painful. Each time a girl touches a comb, a girl may experience pain, and it can be difficult to detect and treat a pimple in her hair.

It is such painful rashes that can occur due to:

  • Hormonal disruptions;
  • Disorders of the sebaceous glands;
  • Polycystic ovary disease;
  • Nervous disorders;
  • Bacterial effects;

So, for example, in premenstrual syndrome and during pregnancy, abscesses are observed on the skin and on the head, usually located along the line of growth of curls. In men, acne on the head appears from an excess of testosterone. Ulcers on the scalp are difficult to reach, and they also appear directly on the follicles in thick hair, blocking oxygen and leading to clogged pores and inflammation.

Also, when the ovaries malfunction, when they are too active, when the body cannot cope, it leaves traces in the form of abscesses on the head.

Nerves and stress are the causes of most diseases. Negative manifestations on the skin are the result of the shocks suffered.

Infections, bacteria and germs attack the body both from the inside and outside. In the scalp, where acne appears on the head, real foci of microbial reproduction are often formed.

What are the types of rashes?

From a medical point of view, acne on the head has a similar purulent nature and is not particularly classified, however, for the convenience of prescribing treatment, they are divided into 2 types:

  • Comedones;
  • Acne itself.

The difference between the first and the second is the presence of inflammation. In the second case, pimples become inflamed and clogged with pus, they are very sore when you touch them. Comedones are simply clogged glands that don't cause much discomfort.

How to get rid of scalp rashes?

It is advisable to treat acne on your own after establishing the causes of their appearance and examination by a dermatologist. Be prepared to undergo the necessary examination, after which you will be prescribed treatment. When the rash on the scalp is repeated or chronic, a visit to one dermatologist is no longer enough. You will have to visit an endocrinologist, therapist, neurologist, possibly an allergist and venereologist.

What treatment is prescribed in non-dangerous cases?

The course of drugs should not be taken for more than two weeks, since any of them consists of synthetic components. Natural raw materials such as sulfur with the addition of sea salt, unfortunately, are inaccessible pleasure for the vast majority of the population.

Acne on the head is treated with special shampoos, such as Nizoral and Microzoral. Be careful with dosage. Shampoos then act like medicines, not just care products. In case of internal disorders, bacterial infections, the doctor prescribes antibiotics, monitoring their intake.

As for external use, the drying ointments Levomekol and ichthyol will come to the rescue. They are applied to clean skin in parts along the hairline. Apply a thin layer of the preparation on pimples. For additional drying, ichthyol or camphor alcohol is prescribed. Be careful with alcohol too, as it can burn out the epidermis. Sometimes they use a talker or Skinoren, but this is ineffective, since the drugs treat acne on the face, and on the head they help occasionally and are used more prophylactically.

Proper hair care, in particular the scalp, means a lot. Both frequent and infrequent shampooing is undesirable. If the scalp is prone to oily, do it every two days, if dry or normal - once every three days. Each part of the hair follicle is covered with a protective film, which is washed out with excessive washing. Choose the right shampoo, not really trusting advertising, but relying on your own experience. Also, keep your comb clean.

And finally, what we eat literally creates our image: appearance, well-being, character and … acne. The choice falls not only on food, but also on the quality of drinking water, medicines, hormonal preparations, taken internally, if necessary. An important role in the occurrence of abscesses on the head and body is played by addictions: alcohol, tobacco, smoking grass, etc.

Among other things, to maintain the body, it is recommended to take vitamins of groups A, B, C and B, antiallergenic and adsorbing drugs.

A special diet is prescribed to normalize metabolic processes. Sometimes home therapy is also useful.

"Heavy artillery" from home remedies for acne on the head

What can you advise on traditional medicine? Only products that are unable to harm, but help to fight acne in the hair.

There are three helper products that are not scary to use at home:

  1. Apple cider vinegar. Rinsing with apple cider vinegar will have a detoxifying effect. Mix 100 g of the product with 100 ml of water and rinse your head with this infusion. Then just rinse off with running water.
  2. Tea tree oil. An excellent and proven essence, suitable for any external treatment and for prophylactic purposes. The oil works even when you add a few drops of it to shampoo or any mask.
  3. Honey and cinnamon. A delicious mixture is applied to the head in the proportions: a teaspoon of cinnamon to two tablespoons of honey for 20 minutes. Used twice a week.

It is very important to treat purulent eruptions, but not to try to forcefully get rid of them, not to press, not to rip off. Arm yourself with patience, medical advice, and folk wisdom. This triune concerted action will bring you out of trouble.

Purulent acne in the head area in the vast majority of cases occurs from internal ailments. Therefore, treatment of an external cause does not guarantee its repeated recurrence of discomfort in the future. It is important to understand that skin problems lie deep inside and are not always eliminated by expensive cosmetics.
