Such an original dish as potato waffles is a complete side dish. All that is needed for cooking is a "Soviet" waffle iron or a modern electric appliance, potatoes, a set of available products and a little bit of diligence.

Mashed potato waffles

This version of potato waffles has an airy consistency. Used as a base for pâté sandwiches or as a side dish.

  • egg - 1 pc;
  • margarine - 100 g;
  • milk - 100 ml;
  • wheat flour - 1 tbsp;
  • salt to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. The tubers are washed in warm water. Peel the rind thinly. The peeled tubers are rinsed again;
  2. Cut the potatoes into small pieces and boil, then knead them with a crush until they are puree;
  3. Milk is brought to a boil and poured into puree. It is not recommended to use cold milk, as the mass will acquire an unpleasant bluish tint. Add margarine;
  4. When the mashed potatoes become warm, thoroughly stirring, sifted flour and an egg are introduced;
  5. The density of the dough resembles sour cream;
  6. A preheated waffle iron is greased with oil;
  7. Pour 2 tablespoons of potato mass onto a hot surface;
  8. Bake for 5-7 minutes;
  9. The finished golden "pancake" is transferred to a plate.

Waffles from potatoes in an electric waffle iron

The dish tastes like the usual pancakes, but it turns out crispy and less fatty.

Cooking method:

  1. The tubers are washed, the skin is cut off, the vegetable is washed again. Peeled onions;
  2. Rub the potatoes and onions through a fine grater. You can pass the vegetables through the harvester. The excess liquid is poured through a sieve, throwing back the mass for 4-5 minutes;
  3. Chopped dill and finely grated garlic are added to the minced meat. Pepper and salt to taste;
  4. Eggs are driven into the minced meat, starch and flour are mixed;
  5. You need to knead the dough until smooth;
  6. Bake in a greased electric waffle iron until golden brown.

Waffle pancakes are served hot with sour cream.

Potato waffles with bacon

When serving, the dish can be supplemented with sour cream, fried and stewed vegetables.

  • flour - 70 g;
  • kefir - 3 tbsp. l;
  • baking powder baking - ½ tsp;

Cooking method:

  1. Bacon is cut into small cubes, green onions are cut into 1 cm pieces, the cheese is rubbed coarsely through a grater;
  2. Beat eggs with spices and salt, add crushed potatoes, pieces of bacon and green onions, add grated cheese;
  3. The flour is sieved and mixed with baking powder. Add the mixture to the egg-bacon mass;
  4. The electric waffle iron is warmed up and lubricated in advance;
  5. The dough is laid out in a mold and baked until golden brown for 3-5 minutes.

Potato waffles with sour cream and onions

  • egg - 1 pc;
  • sour cream - 75 ml;
  • turnip onions - 1 pc;
  • flour - 25 g;
  • salt and spices to taste.

  2. The tubers are washed, cleaned, rinsed in running water. Half is finely rubbed through a sieve, the second is boiled until soft in salted water;
  3. The cooled boiled potatoes are also wiped with a sieve and mixed with raw;
  4. Add an egg, add sour cream and grated onions;
  5. The mass is kneaded, gradually introducing flour;
  6. If the dough turns out to be thick, you can dilute it with warmed milk;
  7. Bake on a preheated and greased waffle iron for 3-5 minutes.

Potato waffles with minced chicken and spicy sauce

Ingredients for the dough:

  • potatoes - 2-3 pcs;
  • chicken fillet - 100 g;
  • eggs - 2 pcs;
  • turnip onions - 1/2 pcs;
  • starch - 20 g;
  • flour - 60 g;
  • soy sauce - 1 tbsp. l;
  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • egg yolk - 1 pc;
  • table vinegar - 1 tbsp. l;
  • small fresh cucumber - 1 pc;
  • small salted cucumber - 1 pc;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Cooking method:

  1. Peel the onion from the husk, chop and fry. During frying, add soy sauce and chopped herbs to taste;
  2. The cooled fried onion is mixed with minced chicken, spices are introduced - red or black pepper, ground wig;
  3. The tubers are peeled, washed thoroughly and cut into pieces;
  4. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender and grind with a crush;
  5. The resulting mass is mixed with minced chicken prepared earlier, starch, flour, eggs and vegetable oil are introduced;
  6. The waffle iron is heated and greased;
  7. Spread the dough on a hot plate in 2 tablespoons. Bake until golden brown for 5-7 minutes.

How to make the sauce:

  1. Egg yolk is ground with mustard;
  2. Vegetable oil and table vinegar are gradually added to the mixture;
  3. Fresh and pickled cucumbers are peeled and seedless;
  4. Cucumber pulp is coarsely rubbed through a grater or finely chopped;
  5. Combine the prepared ingredients and add chopped dill to the sauce.

The dish is served hot. It is better to put the sauce in a special gravy boat.

Potato waffles with cheese and paprika

Ground paprika and cheese make the taste of the dish spicy and rich in golden color.

  • hard cheese - 100 g;
  • ground paprika - 1 tsp;
  • chopped greens - 3 tbsp. l;
  • vegetable oil - 6 tbsp. l.

Cooking method:

  1. Boiled potatoes are kneaded with a crush;
  2. Beat eggs with ground paprika;
  3. An egg mixture, sifted flour is introduced into the still warm potato mass;
  4. Pour vegetable oil into the dough, mix;
  5. The cheese is rubbed through a grater and combined with the dough;
  6. The greens are finely chopped and mixed into the finished dough;
  7. Bake in a pre-heated and greased waffle iron for 3-5 minutes.

Served with sour cream, ketchup, mayonnaise.

Potato and zucchini waffles

Zucchini makes the consistency of the dish especially tender.

  • eggs - 2 pcs;
  • small zucchini - 1 pc;
  • starch - 50 g;
  • flour - 100 g;
  • cream - 100 ml;
  • salt, pepper, chopped herbs - to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Finely grate potatoes and zucchini. The mass is thrown onto a sieve and left for a few minutes to allow excess liquid to glass;
  2. Eggs are driven into the vegetable mixture;
  3. Add cream and gradually mix in starch and flour;
  4. Salt, pepper and add chopped greens to taste - dill, cilantro, parsley;
  5. Since the dough is especially tender, they bake, putting no more than 1 spoonful of the mixture on the waffle iron plate;
  6. The finished toasted corrugated "pancake" is carefully put into a plate and poured over with sour cream or unsweetened yogurt.

Potato waffles have an appetizing appearance - ruddy and crispy. However, their taste is excellent!
